Hunt for man after carjacking

THIS is the hooded face of a man wanted in connection with a terrifying carjacking.

The image of a man with sunken eyes and stubble has been released by police investigating a shocking incident that saw a passenger left frightened after a thief jumped into the driver’s seat of a car she was sat in.

The woman jumped out before the car sped off along Young Street, in Hartlepool, at 1pm on Sunday, February 13, as reported in the Mail.

Hartlepool Police have now issued this e-fit made with the help of the victim in hope of snaring the thief.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “An unknown man approached the car and got into the driver’s seat. The frightened passenger then fled the car and the man sped off onto Dent Street and then onto Raby Road.”

The stolen black 2009 Ford Focus Estate, which has yet to be found, has black rails which run across the length of the roof and are one-inch high.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, of thin build with a thin face with stubble and dark hair.

He was wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up and grey jogging bottoms.
