A JEALOUS ex-boyfriend was jailed for eight months after he broke a court order telling him to stay away from his ex-partner three times.

On one occasion Adrian Craigs, 29, grabbed the woman, who he has three children with, by the throat and pushed her onto a sofa.

It was after he went round to her house on January 20 and an argument broke out.

David Lamb, prosecuting at Teesside Crown Court said: “An argument developed about what she had been doing the night before and he insisted to see her mobile telephone.

“During the course of the argument he grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against the sofa.”

The next day Craigs returned to the woman’s house and banged on the door before leaving.

Then on January 22 he attended her grandparents address and demanded to see her.

Craigs, of Lanark Road, Hartlepool, admitted three counts of breaching a non-molestation order.

He was also given a two-year restraining order.

Judge Peter Armstrong said: “You don’t own her. She is entitled to do what she wants.

“If she doesn’t want to know about you, you are going to have to accept that no matter how frustrating it may be.”
