A JURY has been sent out in the case of a man accused of murdering his common-law wife.
Paul Smart, 49, has been standing trial at Teesside crown Court for more than a week where he denies murdering his partner Angela Smeatem, 50.
Smart has admitted manslaughter, but denies on the grounds of loss of control.
The judge, after summing up the case this morning, has sent the jury out to consider their verdict.
