A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of an attack that left the victim with a fractured skull.
Detectives have launched an investigation after the assault outside Olivitos Pizza Shop in Hartlepool in which a 36-year-old man suffered a fractured skull.
They have arrested a 23-year-old man, from Hartlepool, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The 36-year-old man was assaulted at 11.30pm on Friday, September 13.
Police said the victim was punched to the ground and suffered a fractured skull.
He was taken to University Hospital of North Tees where he remained for two days.
