POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a lawn mower was stolen from outside of a house.
Thieves noticed the grass-cutter outside the front of the home in Raby Gardens, Hartlepool, and then swiped it.
The owner of the mower reported the theft to police who are now investigating.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “We received a report about the theft of a lawn mower at 2.40pm on Monday.
“The complainant believed it had been stolen from the front garden of the house in Raby Gardens. It had been left out overnight.”
She added: “We would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who is offered the grass cutter for sale to get in touch.” Anyone with any information should contact police on the non-emergency 101 number.
