New appeal over Hartlepool street stabbing that led to attempted murder arrests

Police have made a fresh appeal for information after a 44-year-old man was stabbed on Sheriff Street in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 17th November at around 2:15pm.

Three males aged 47, 22 and 23 years old were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Tuesday and were released on bail pending further enquiries.

On Wednesday morning, a 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Both have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital, where he is being treated for multiple stab wounds and is described as being in a “stable” condition.
