Phone charger thief and drug-driver among six dealt with at Hartlepoool Magistrates’ Court

The following cases were dealt with at Hartlepoool Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 23.

Tyrone Sean Grimshaw, 24, of Miers Avenue, Hartlepool, was given an eight week prison sentence suspended for a year after admitting stealing three phone chargers from Morrisons on November 17, a phone power charger from Morrisons on December 18, and three boxes of after shave from Asda on December 22. He was told to pay £74 compensation and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Peter Gary Hadfield, 38, of Richmond Street, Hartlepool, was fined £120, told to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £25 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge after admitting stealing a pedal cycle, and producing cannabis on October 14.

Darren Kearns, 29, of Belmont Gardens, Hartlepool, was fined £40 and told to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £25 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge after admitting possession of cannabis on December 20.

David Martin, 60, of Holdforth Court, Hartlepool, was conditionally discharged for 12 months, told to pay £350 compensation and a £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting damaging a Ford Focus on November 18.

Robert Gordon Richard Anderson, 23, of Allerton Close, Hartlepool, was fined £120 and told to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge after admitting driving in Bruce Crescent in Hartlepool with an excessive amount of controlled drug Benzoylicgonine in his blood; driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence; and with no insurance, on October 27. He was banned from driving for 12 months.

Jack Bruce, 18, of Laburnum Crescent, Trimdon, was fined £40, told to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and a £150 criminal courts charge after admitting being drunk and disorderly in Church Street, Hartlepool, on December 12.
