Police appeal after assault in Hartlepool

Police are appealing for information after a 22-year-old male was assaulted and the suspects attempted to steal his bag on Wells Avenue in Hartlepool.

The incident, which happened just off the junction with Warren Road, happened on Sunday, December 27 at 2pm when the victim was approached by two males who assaulted him and then went on to try to take his bag.

Both the males then ran off towards Warren Road.

The suspects are described as around 17-years-old, one was 5ft8in tall and the other was 5ft10in tall, both of average build and with short, dark hair.
