POLICE are appealing to trace a prisoner who has been on the run since February and is wanted in connection with criminal damage.

Daniel Pearson, 28, absconded from HMP Kirkham, in the Lancashire area, earlier this year where he was serving an indeterminate sentence for a robbery committed in the Middlesbrough area in 2007.

Pearson is now believed to have been involved in an incident of criminal damage in the Cleveland area since he escaped prison.

Officers believe he may have moved on into the North Yorkshire area and are appealing for anyone with information in his whereabouts to contact police.

Pearson is described as being white, 6ft tall of slim build with green eyes and short brown hair.

He is known to have strong links to Cleveland.

Anyone who may have seen Daniel Pearson or anyone who may know of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
