Police are hunting two teenage yobs who terrified a disabled passenger after hurling a large stone at a moving car on a Hartlepool road.

The two youths - believed to be aged about 13 - threw the object at the black Ford C Max car on Jesmond Road, Hartlepool, near to the cemetery, as it travelled towards the traffic lights at Hart Lane at 4.50pm yesterday.

The pair of yobs are both described as white, with one wearing a red top and the other in a black top.

The stunned driver stopped near the traffic lights to examine his vehicle.

Cleveland Police say his disabled daughter was in the car at the time and was 'very frightened by the incident.

A police spokesman said; "The two youths responsible are described as both white males aged around 13 years - one wearing a red top and one in a black top.

"The driver stopped near the lights, got out and examined his vehicle.

"His disabled daughter was in vehicle at the time and was very frightened by incident."
