Police probe after driver killed in motorway crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old man was tragically killed in a road crash last night.

The driver was travelling on the A1 motorway, about one mile south of the Bradbury Interchange, when his Honda S200 vehicle left to carriageway and flipped on its roof.

Police are still tying to establish the cause of the incident, which took place at about 8.55pm on Saturday.

The man, who is from Darlington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Durham Constabulary would like to speak with anybody who may have seen the collision itself, or the Honda vehicle prior to the occurrence of the collision.
