DETECTIVES investigating a drive-by shooting which saw a man shot in the groin have made 10 further arrests.
The men, aged 17 to 45, were arrested in connection with the shooting of a 56-year-old man, named locally as Keith Robinson, as he stood in his garden.
The arrests were made over the course of a few days from the latter part of last week following the incident which happened in Brackendale Court, in Station Town, around 2.15pm on Monday, August 15.
The men, from the Wingate area, have since been bailed while police inquiries continue.
It brings the total number of arrests to 12, as two men aged 24 and 27 from Wingate were arrested around the time of the incident. They were also bailed.
The victim was shot in the genitals and legs numerous times.
Police say the man is making a good recovery.
Detectives are continuing their probe and Durham Constabulary is urging anyone with information about the incident to ring 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
