Second arrest in Hartlepool pizza shop attack probe

POLICE have made a second arrest in connection with an attack outside of a pizza shop which left a man with a fractured skull.

Officers arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the incident outside Olivito’s, in York Road, Hartlepool, on Friday, September 13.

He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Another suspect, a 23-year-old man, has also been arrested on suspicion of allegedly causing greivous bodily harm and has also been released while officers carry out further investigations.

A police inquiry was launched following the attack on the 36-year-old victim.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “A second man has been arrested in connection with an assault in which a man suffered a fractured skull.”
