Shopper sought by police

POLICE want to speak to a shopper in connection with an alleged theft.

Police say a woman put five joints of beef, four packs of cheese, a bottle of brandy and a box of cereal in a trolley at an Aldi store in Dunston Road, Hartlepool.

She is then said to have put them in a bag with the help of another woman and left the store without paying at around 3pm on November 12, last year.

The woman police want to speak to is described as in her 40s with long brown hair, of thin build and with a pale complexion.

She was wearing a black shiny coat, dark trousers and a scarf around her neck.
