A HAUL of suspected cannabis plants with a street value of more than £3,000 was discovered after a police raid on a house.

Officers from Hartlepool Police carried out an operation on a semi-detached home, in Welldeck Road, off Hart Lane, on Sunday morning.

Eight plants suspected to be cannabis were discovered inside the building.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “A house was searched under warrant and eight suspected cannabis plants were discovered in the property with an estimated street value of £3,200.”

Officers raided the property at 9.40am.

* A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the raid and has been bailed pending further police inquiries.
