THIEVES who stole a hand-painted bench from church grounds are being hunted by police.
Police are appealing for help in tracking down a distinctive-looking wooden seat that was taken from Holy Trinity Church, in Davison Drive, Hartlepool.
The thieves struck between 11.30pm on Monday, August 8, and 4.30am the following day.
The bench is hand-painted with pink and blue stripes and has cast iron mouldings for feet.
