THREE males were arrested after police were called to reports of people on rooftops in a town centre street in the early hours.
Hartlepool Police were called to reports of a number of people on rooftops in Church Street, in Hartlepool, around 12.50am on Tuesday.
Officers attended and at 1.15am they arrested two men in Church Street.
The Cleveland Police helicopter and dog section also attended the incident while a teenage boy remained on the rooftop.
Two fire crews from Stranton Fire Station also attended, sending one appliance along with the hydraulic platform around 2am and remaining on standby for two-and-a-half hours.
But the crews’ help was not needed after the boy came down just after 4.30am and was detained and arrested on Tower Street.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “The 16-year-old and two men aged 19 and 23 were arrested in connection with the incident.
“They remain in police custody today and face questioning by detectives.”
