Warning to residents after parked cars vandalised in Hartlepool

POLICE are urging residents to be vigilant after a spate of criminal damage to vehicles.

The warning comes from Hartlepool Integrated Neighbourhood Team, after a spate of such offences in the Foggy Furze area of Hartlepool in recent days.

Police have received reports of cars and vans being damaged in streets, including Oakland Avenue, Greta Avenue and Ventnor Avenue.

A spokesman for the team said: “Over the last few days there has been a number of damage to vehicles reported around Oakland Avenue, Greta Avenue and Ventnor Avenue.

“If anyone has any information or notices anyone acting suspiciously please contact police on 101.”
