Police are asking for information after a group of youths were seen throwing eggs and stones at a Hartlepool community centre and injured an elderly woman.
The Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Teams are asking for the public’s help after the youths were spotted in the Chesterton Road area at around 5.45pm on Wednesday.
The group of six to eight youths aged around 13 to 15 years were throwing eggs and stones at the Rifthouse Community Centre.
What is believed to be a stone hit an elderly woman on the side of her head, resulting in reddening and soreness and causing distress.
Cleveland Police are requesting that parents are aware of their children’s whereabouts and their behaviour.
They are appealing for any information as to the identity of the person or persons responsible.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the youths is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
