Worker threatened at knifepoint in Hartlepool shop raid

A WORKER was threatened at knifepoint by a gang who tried to rob a Hartlepool newsagent’s.

At about 3.40pm on Friday, May 1, three men entered Bungalow Stores in Stratford Road.

They threatened the member of staff with knives, but they left empty-handed and no one was injured.

Three youths - one aged 17 and two 18-year-olds - were later arrested on suspicion of burglary.

They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
