A MAN has gone on trial accused of sexually assaulting a teenage schoolgirl.
Teesside Crown Court was told Patrick Bradley forcibly kissed the girl against her wishes and forced her to touch him sexually.
The jury heard that Bradley, 22, told the allleged victim she was his new girlfriend before making an unwanted pass at her.
Outlining the allegations, prosecutor Paul Reid said: “The prosecution case is this defendant grabbed hold of her and said to her ‘you are my new girlfriend’.
“She told him to shut up. He grabbed hold of her quite forcibly and put his tongue into her mouth.”
The court heard that the girl protested saying: “I’m really not (your girlfriend). I’m still in school.”
It is then alleged that Bradley took hold of the girl’s hand and pushed it down on his genitals over his clothing.
When he was later arrested, Bradley, of Wynyard Mews, Hartlepool, claimed the girl had come on to him.
He denies two counts of sexual assault and a separate charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm on a man.
The man suffered a fracture in his leg and needed medical attention.
The trial continues.
