COMEDIENNE Crissy Rock is heading for Hartlepool to complete her final preparations for her forthcoming UK tour.
Peterlee-based Crissy, who starred in the last series of ITV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, has recently finished a panto stint in Billingham Forum’s production of Cinderella.
Crissy, who also starred in the popular comdey show Benidorm, is due to take her comedy routine around theatres across the UK in the spring, but has chosen to do a show in Hartlepool and Billingham before the tour gets under way.
She will take to the stage at The Swan, in Wolviston Road, Billingham, on Sunday, February 5, and then on February 16 she will be at the Belle Vue Social Club, in Kendal Road, Hartlepool.
Tickets for both gigs are priced £5 and all money raised will go to the charity run by Crissy’s jungle buddy Fatima Whitbread, 21st Century Youth.
An Evening With Crissy Rock will see her live performing her full comedy routine, which features adult content.
Crissy has been receiving rave reviews for her live shows and has promised her fans in Hartleopool and Billingham a night to remember.
She said: “I love working the live stage and these two charity events will allow me to meet so many of my friends from the region.
“The added bonus will be my friend Fatima Whitbread’s 21st Century charity will also benefit – so everybody wins.”
The 53-year-old, who owned a restaurant on Hartlepool Marina during the Tall Ships Races, is putting on the tow local shows with the help of Goffy Media, run by town-based Paul Gough.
Paul Gough said: “It will be a great thrill to see Crissy work on my own patch.
“Millions loved her both in the jungle and on the TV through Benidorm so I know she will receive a great welcome here.”
Tickets for the events are available from the Belle Vue Club on (01429) 273974, The Swan on (01642) 553157 or Goffy Media on 07990588424.
