David Cameron joins in support for family of Hartlepool man David Dixon after death in Brussels attacks

Well-wishers have been leaving tributes to David Dixon after his death was announced this morning.

The 53-year-old commuter programmer, originally from Hartlepool, but was living in the Belgian capital. He was using the city's metro system when terrorists struck.

His family said they had received "the most terrible and devastating news".

Prime Minister David Cameron was among those offering his condolences.

He said: "I am deeply saddened to hear David Dixon was killed in the Brussels attacks. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family."
