Police have confirmed that the death of a man found at the Headland in Hartlepool on Saturday is not being treated as suspicious.
The discovery of a body was made in Heugh Breakwater, near the area’s paddling pool, on Saturday morning.
A post-mortem was carried out, and the man’s family was informed after officers identified him. He was in his 30s.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Police can now confirm that the death of a man whose body was found at the Headland in Hartlepool on Saturday, February 6 is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
