STARS of the stage and screen are coming to a North-East theatre.
In the space of three days, visitors to the Empire Theatre, in Sunderland, can enjoy comedian Ken Dodd followed by the Calendar Girls featuring stars such as Ruth Madoc, Rula Lenska, Jennifer Ellison and Camilla Dallerup.
First on stage is Ken, who arrives on Saturday, September 10.
The comedian from Liverpool brings his non-stop Happiness Show to the region. Tickets are £16 and £19.50.
The Liverpudlian has enjoyed a career spanning over 50 years and has won showbiz honours including the Living Legend Award from the British Comedy Society and a Lifetime Achievement in the British Comedy Awards. In his home city, he has been voted Greatest Merseysider Of All Time.
Calendar Girls follows from Monday, September 12, to Saturday, September 17.
Tickets range in price from £12.50 to £29.50 with concessions available.
