West View Primary School in Hartlepool continues to top the table in the Mail-backed Shop for Schools scheme.

Twenty-five schools and nurseries across town are taking part in the scheme which helps them to get their hands on a host of free new equipment.

Middleton Grange Shopping Centre is once again running the competition that sees participating schools cash in on money spent in the shopping centre.

For every pound spent in the centre can be transformed into points for the school or nursery of your choice.

The more points they collect the bigger the prizes they can claim.

Today we are giving readers the chance to give their favourite school a quick boost with a bonus token worth 100 points - only in today’s paper.

The project runs until January 31 so schools can make the most of visitors’ Christmas shopping.

To take part, simply take your receipt for any store in Middleton Grange to the customer service desk on the ground floor.

They will then stamp it and give it back to you along with the equivalent points to simply post through the slit for the school or nursery you want to support.

The centre offers double points for anything spent on a Sunday, and it will treble them for the Christmas bank holidays of Saturday, December 26, and Monday, December 28.
