FOOTBALL fans can drive away with a season ticket if they buy a new or used car before the start of the season.
Club sponsors Drive Vauxhall has once again thrown its weight behind Hartlepool United’s season ticket offer – for the third year running.
The car dealership, based in Burn Road, is giving away a free season ticket with every new or used car sold right up to the start of the season.
Three fans have already snapped up the offer since it launched.
This year adult football fans can get their hands on a season ticket for £155 - which works out at less than £7 a game.
So far 3,000 have been sold for the 2012-13 campaign at Victoria Park.
Joe Palmer, Drive Vauxhall dealer principle, said: “This link-up has proved successful for both us and the football club in the past and we’re just happy to support the club again this year.”
Russ Green, the club’s chief executive, was delighted to once again receive the backing of the car dealership.
Mr Green said: “It’s a fantastic gesture again from Drive Vauxhall and one that ensures the people of Hartlepool get the best possible deal.
“Our partnership with Drive continues to go from strength to strength and it is one I hope to see continue for many years.”
Senior prices are £125, under 19s can bag a seat for £75 and a season ticket for under 13s is only £50.
Everyone over 16 who gets a season ticket will be entered into a prize draw for a jackpot which could raise as high as £15,000 depending on sales.
Sven Graham, 36, was the lucky buyer to purchase ticket number 3,000.
Originally from Hartlepool but now living in Norton, Sven has been a season ticket holder for 19 seasons and is looking forward to returning to The Vic with his family in the new campaign.
Now that sales have reached 3,038, it means the season ticket jackpot has clicked in providing a first prize of £5,000, a second prize of £3,000 and a third prize of £2,000.
Winners in the scheme will be pulled from a random draw in which every adult season ticket bought will now be entered.
