CHRISTMAS is just five days away.

The advent calendars are nearly finished, shopping is just about done and presents are wrapped.

And the youngsters at Hart Primary School, in Hart Village, can’t wait for the big day.

The Year 6 pupils told Dominic Shaw what they are hoping to get this Christmas – and looked back at their favourite Christmas presents in the past.

PUPILS at Hart Primary School are hoping they get what they have asked for this Christmas.

Sam Quarmby, 11, said: “I want to get a Kinect for my Xbox, it works like a sensor and detects movement.

“My Xbox is definitely my best present from other years. I spend a lot of time on it.”

Hollie Green, 10, said: “I am hoping to get a BMX this year.

“I play on my bike a lot, but I broke mine not long ago so that’s why I want a new one.

“I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet.

“I will have to get it done quite quickly now.”

Jack Crawford, 11, is taking his first steps towards learning to play the drums.

He said: “I want some rhythm sticks this year.

“They are just like normal drum sticks, but you plug some software into a television and the drum set appears on screen so you don’t actually need to buy a drum set.

“I have never played the drums before, but I want to learn, I might ask for a drum set next year.”

Annalise Maddren, 10, said: “I am hoping to get a laptop this year.

“I do have one at home, but I have lost the charger for it.

“I mainly use laptops to play games and go on the internet. I do some school work on it as well.

“It’s my birthday in February so as soon as Christmas is finished I start looking forward to that.

“My best ever Christmas present was a Nintendo DS.”

Elsbeth Brookes, 10, said: “I hope I get a new bike for Christmas this year, I don’t really mind what type of bike.

“I do horseriding and I might get some horseriding kit as well.

“My Nintendo DS is my best Christmas present, I play on that all the time.”

Kiae Davison, 10, said: “This year I have asked for a gaming chair for when I am playing on the Xbox.

“I play on my Xbox all the time so it will be brilliant to have a gaming chair.

“I think my Xbox is my best ever Christmas present.

“I am really looking forward to Christmas this year.”
