An internationally-acclaimed designer is coming to Hartlepool for a lecture on his life of working with top world names.
Simon Costin will be in town on Friday at Cleveland College of Art & Design (CCAD), to open the new Creative Talks series, which is open to the public.
He will talk about his career working with designers and clients such as Alexander McQueen, Hermes, Harrods and Gucci.
He will reveal the process behind his elaborate sets for leading international designers and fashion houses, including Stella McCartney, Faberge and Louis Vuitton.
Mr Costin will also talk about his more recent projects as director of the British Museum of Folklore, and the Museum of Witchcraft.
Having studied Theatre Design and History of Art at Wimbledon School of Art, Simon has worked as an internationally-respected art director and more recently, curator.
His artwork has been displayed in many exhibitions, at venues as diverse as a forest in Argyll, the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The event runs from 6pm to 8pm in the Art Cafe at the college, which is in Church Square, in Hartlepool.
As part of the evening, guests can enjoy a buffet with refreshments and an opportunity to network before Mr Costin’s guest lecture.
Organisers say spaces are limited for the lecture, which is free.
People are being urged to book their place as soon as possible to ensure availability.
