TEACHERS are inviting parents, pupils and former students along to an information event about their new school.
Dyke House Sports and Technology College will be taking over the central square in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre from 10am-1pm on Saturday, October 15.
Staff will be letting people know about their new building and carrying out a host of activities to showcase the school.
Teacher Ceri Dolan said: “We want to give people the chance to find out about the school, especially after the new build, so we thought it would be best to go out into the community.
“We are asking for as many Year 6 pupils and their parents as possible to come down to the event and find out what their new school has to offer.
“We would also like to see lots of former pupils so we can ask them about what they thought of their time here and we will have our school radio station there so they can share their memories.”
Pupils will also be showing off the school’s new uniform and examples of the PE kit will be on display.
A laser machine that inscribes key rings can be used and wristbands with memory pens will also be available.
Former Hartlepool United striker Eifion Williams, who has worked with the schoolchildren, is organising some football-related fun while a host of other small activities are planned.
