Teachers from across Europe shared ideas with their English partners they visited at a Hartlepool school as a project goes from strength to strength.

Representatives from schools in Sweden, Germany, Turkey and Italy came to Catcote Academy as part of its Erasmus+ initiative.

The three year project was set up by Catcote teacher Barry Currell to help schools in different countries learn from each other and help prepare students for employment.

Catcote Academy says the project is helping it to share good practice and develop ideas, forge strong relations with partner schools abroad and establish links between education and employment.Later, the visitors were welcomed by Hartlepool Mayor, Councillor Mary Fleet, at Hartlepool Civic Centre.
