IF there’s one thing pupils at Rift House Primary School don’t like it’s winter.

Bobi Dinsdale said she was looking forward to staying out later and not having to walk home in the dark.

“It can be a bit scary.”

Andrew Kidson said he was looking forward to spring because it was warmer.

“I can play out longer and don’t have to go in early because it’s dark.”

Olivia Langley said she doesn’t like the dark nights.

“You get to play out longer with your friends.”

Coby Robson said he hated winter because he was stuck in the house.

“I like to go out and play football with my friends and in winter it’s far too cold.”

Taylor Storey said: “I like playing football with friends and in winter I have to wear my base layer and sometimes that’s too warm. I really like playing football and my favourite player is Lionel Messi.”

Kadie Wright said she hates being stuck in the house because it’s so cold in winter. I have a lot of friends I haven’t seen over the winter months and I like playing out.”
