We asked some Year 6 pupils at Barnard Grove Primary School, in Hartlepool, what they like doing best.

We got a lot of different answers from the children, ranging from football to cheerleading. Here’s what they told us...

Ethan Wilson said he likes playing football.

“I play up front for Saxon Juniors. I like playing football because it’s hard sometimes but enjoyable.

“I like playing football with Declan, but I’m the best and I have scored the most goals.”

George Peppert said: “I like to go swimming at Dyke House and Mill House.

“I go with the team to Dyke House and by myself to Mill House.

“My favourite stroke is the front crawl.”

Anabel Purdy said: “I like to play dodgeball with my friends. You try to get people out by hitting them below the waist.

“I just love it because everyone can get involved and have lots of fun together.

“I play with my friend Demi but she is better than me because I can’t really catch the ball.”

Grace Storer said: “I like playing outside and I do it with my friend George and Owen.

“I play football because I’m quite a tomboy. I play in goal but I think I’m good but my friends don’t.”

Owen Welsh said: “I love spending time with my family at Grayfields with my mam stepdad and little brothers and sisters.

“I play football and chase my little brother George around. Family time is important for everyone.”

Charlotte Turner said: “I like going to cheerleading with Neve and it’s really athletic and it’s good fun.

“I go to Hartlepool Hawks. I have only just started. There’s loads of people go but I’ve only just started so I don’t take part in the events yet.”
