THERE were four seasons in just one day at a town primary school when youngsters took to the catwalk as part of a project about the weather.
The topic has been linked into all of the subjects the Year 1 pupils at Lynnfield Primary School, in Hartlepool, have been studying.
In literacy the kids have been writing weather poems, in geography they have been learning about what causes the different weather conditions while in design technology the creative children made their own rain coats.
And when the staff were thinking of ways to bring the project together in a finale, they came up with the idea of a fashion show in the school.
Dozens of parents packed out the school hall as the kids strutted their stuff on the catwalk wearing outfits to resemble each part of the year.
Karen Magill, teaching assistant at the school, in Grosvenor Street, Hartlepool, said: “The fashion show was a massive success.
“It was a real team effort by the pupils and the staff and the parents absolutely loved it, the feedback we got afterwards was brilliant.”
Mrs Magill added: “We did have a fashion show when we did the project last year, but not to the extent of this year.
“It was a fantastic way to finish the topic for the children.”
