THE boys in Brazil will certainly have the backing of the football-mad pupils at Throston Primary School.

With a little over a week to go before the big kick off, World Cup fever is already beginning to sweep through Hartlepool and the youngsters at the school are counting down the days.

And the excited children are already showing their support for Roy Hodgson’s boys as they cheer on the Three Lions with the Mail’s Come on England poster - free to all readers in today’s Hartlepool Mail.

The poster will be taking pride of place in the school, and staff and pupils hope to help roar England into the latter stages.

And today we are urging our readers to do exactly the same and show your support for our boys in Brazil.

We want to see as many of our posters up around the town as possible as England get set to kick off their World Cup campaign next week.

Put it up in your windows at home, in your shops, pubs, schools - get behind the lads and show your support for the Three Lions.

We will be keeping an eye out for our posters up around Hartlepool and East Durham so let us know when yours is on display and we will publish a selection of the best pictures in the paper and on our website throughout the tournament.

For the youngsters and staff at Throston Primary School, England’s first game can’t come soon enough.

Headteacher Mark Atkinson said: “Everyone at the school can’t wait for the World Cup to start now and of course we will all be showing our support for England.

“Everyone in school will be getting behind the team, hopefully this World Cup won’t end up in penalty heartbreak again.

“Come on England!”

The youngsters at the school won’t just be looking out for the Three Lions. Each class has also adopted a nation to study and follow in the build up to the football showcase.

As well as making sure you put your poster on show, don’t forget to let us know about your plans for the World Cup.

Whether you’re planning to decorate your house and car in England flags or hosting a World Cup party in a pub or your home, let us know.

Or are you an Italian, Uruguayan, Costa Rican or Brazilian who will be flying your own flags proudly throughout the tournament?

Let us know your plans by emailing mail.news@northeast-press.co.uk, tweeting us at @HPoolMail or posting a message on the Hartlepool Mail facebook page.
