YOUNGSTERS learning about Indian culture enjoyed a trip to a college to find out more about their subject.
Children from Years 8 and 9 at Sacred Heart RC School, in Hartlepool’s Hart Lane, called into Hartlepool College of Further Education to take part in various India-related activities.
They were taken into the Flagship Restaurant, with Kevin Dove and professional cookery students giving them the opportunity to taste authentic Indian dishes such as riata, pakora and poppadoms. They also examined some exotic Indian fruits before enjoying a presentation of Indian life and culture by the college’s travel and tourism students and a quiz.
Their visit ended with a tour around the £53m Stockton Street-based college.
