A SECONDARY school was closed for hundreds of students today following a major water leak.
Students from Year 7 to Year 10 at St Michael’s Catholic Academy, in Billingham, are off school today as engineers start work on repairs on the main block of the school building.
The school is also expected to be closed tomorrow for Year 7, 8 and 9 students but will be open as normal for Year 10 and 11 pupils.
Engineers have identified the leak and repairs were expected to start today.
