X FACTOR season is in full swing once again.
After the highs and lows of the audition stage, the hopefuls were whittled down to 12 for the final shows - and now it’s down to just nine.
Teesside singing sensation James Arthur is one of the favourites with bookmakers.
But is this year’s show proving popular with pupils at St Peter’s Elwick CE Primary School?

YOUNGSTERS at St Peter’s Elwick CE Primary School had their say on this year’s X Factor.
Andrew Smart, 10, said: “I don’t think X Factor is as good as it was, but I still like to watch it.
“I think the show was better with Simon Cowell though.
“Lucy is my favourite this year, I think she’s brilliant.
“I think my favourite ever from X Factor are JLS.”
Megan Leonard, 10, said: “I haven’t really bothered watching it so far this year.
“My parents don’t like it, they prefer Strictly Come Dancing so I watch that with them.
“Some of my friends have been watching it though.”
Iesa Medhi, 10, said: “I have watched a couple so far, but I haven’t got into it too much.
“To be honest I don’t think it’s as good as it used to be.
“I think the judges try and play up a little bit.
“I don’t think the show misses Simon Cowell though, it’s the same without him.”
Henry Ashton, 10, said: “I haven’t watched it at all this year.
“I don’t really like singing so I have never got into X Factor.
“I did watch The Voice last year though and I thought that was good.
“My mam and dad watch Strictly so I sometimes watch that with them.”
Chloe Dring, 10, said: “It’s been really good so far.
“Chris is my favourite, but I think Ella might win.
“I think it’s too early to say for definite though.”
Jess Corrigan, 10, said: “I have watched a little bit of the X Factor, but my favourite show on a Saturday is Take Me Out, I would much prefer to watch that.
“I think Ella will win this year’s X Factor though, she is brilliant.
“Gary is my favourite judge.”
