YOUNGSTERS took part in a titanic trip to see a historic exhibition.

Year 5 pupils from Deaf Hill Primary School, in Trimdon Station, travelled to London to view an exhibition on the Titanic in the O2 Arena.

They took part in the field trip as part of a project on the doomed 1912 voyage of the Titanic.

Teacher Lisa McCulloch, who travelled south with three other teachers and 22 youngsters, said: “The kids absolutely loved it and everyone was well behaved. We had a fantastic time.”

The pupils saw artifacts from the sunken ship, including the watch bell, and piece of debris from the hull and even a real giant iceberg.
