ENID Currell spread the word about Hartlepool while on a visit to Germany.
Hartlepol woman Enid, of the town’s Taybrooke Avenue, joined the Mail’s Proud to be a Poolie campaign during a visit to Berlin.
During the five-day visit she had her picture taken at the world famous Berlin Wall and enjoyed a Christmas market where she also showed her support.
Enid, 71, who travelled with her friend Fred Totty, 76, said they have previously appeared in the Mail pictured with our Come on Board poster to promote the Tall Ships Races and they always take either a poster or a copy of the Mail on holiday for a photograph.
She said: “Fred has always beeing interested in getting pictures taken and always takes the Mail or one of the posters with him when we go away.
“We got pictures when we were in Bulgaria and Australia and we had one in the Mail with the Come on Board poster when we went to Turkey.”
Why not take your chance to show your passion about your town?
All we want you to do is pick up a copy of our poster from the Hartlepool Mail reception or download it from www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk. It contains the slogan Proud To Be A Poolie.
Take it with you whenever you go on holiday or go away for a short break.
Have your photograph taken with the poster and send it to us so that we can publish it – and show that you have helped to spread the Hartlepool word.
