A VISIT from Santa, more than 40 festive stalls and a host of fun activities for children will all feature at a Christmas market organised by business-driven students.
Year 9 and 10 students at High Tunstall College of Science studying a new Key Stage 3 Enterprise option have enjoyed the first hand experience of organising an event.
And residents are in for a treat at the traditional Christmas market, being held in the school, in Elwick Road, this Saturday, November 30 from 10am-2pm.
Dozens of stalls selling Christmas crafts, clothing, jewellery and more will be set up in school while youngsters can get their face painted and have fun on a bouncy castle as well as visiting Santa in his grotto.
Residents can also enjoy refreshments in the school’s coffee shop. The talented youngsters who make up the school choir will also be performing throughout the day.
Janet Dixon, programme leader for business studies at the school, said: “The students have worked particularly hard organising the Christmas Market and it’s set to be a fantastic day.
“Everyone is welcome and we look forward to hopefully seeing a lot of people in school on the day.”
