TEENAGERS are being asked to take part in this year’s National Citizen Service programme.
There are up to 150 places available with Groundwork North East, giving 16 and 17-year-olds a fantastic opportunity to take part in an exciting programme in the summer holidays.
The scheme provides many exciting activities to get involved, the opportunity to develop important skills and help in the local area.
National Citizen Service (NCS) is split up into several challenges, providing a chance to try new things out.
Teams go on two residentials where they will do outward bound activities including rock climbing, raft building and kayaking.
Participants can also learn how to cook for others, live away from home and gain new skills, confidence and make new friends.
