AN UNUSUAL fair organised to support a charity will have a retro theme.

Hartlepool Special Needs Support Group (HSNSG) will be selling a range of handmade items to boost their fund.

It is set to take place at the HSNSH Resource Centre, at 109 Park Road, Hartlepool, between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, September 15.

Grace Guerin, from the group, said: “As part of our fundraising this year we have thought of new ideas to encourage the puplic to support our events in order to raise awareness of what HSNSG provides for many families within Hartlepool.

“Our latest event is a craft fair, however it is not your usual craft fair. It is a beautiful collection of everything handmade, including homewares, accessories, children’s knitwear, sewing accessories, cakes and everything in between.

“Many items have a retro and shabby-chic theme, they are made from a huge range of fashionable fabrics, as well as recycled clothes. We will also be holding demenstrations and workshops on various different crafts throughout the day.”

Grace is asking people to give a few hours of their time to hold a workshop in their chosen craft. Tables are available for £6 for any keen crafters who would like a chance to sell their products.
