FAIRGROUND fun in a shopping centre brightened up a wet half term for families.
Middleton Grange Shopping Centre in Hartlepool invited shoppers to roll up for a variety of games and activities when it staged All the Fun of the Fair.
For two days people could try their luck on the coconut shy, hoopla and splat-a-rat stalls.
Youngsters also had fun on an indoor bouncy castle, there were sweet treats galore and a giant deck chair provided a great photo opportunity for families.
Middleton Grange manager Mark Rycraft said: “With the children being off this week we decided to do something a bit different and put All the Fun of the Fair on.
“It was a really good successful event and we were really busy.
“From the feedback we have had from customers they were really pleased with it and the fact that everything was free.”
Shoppers also got to see some of the town’s top young singers from Red Dreams perform.
Mark added: “We can’t run events like this without the support of the local community and Red Dreams and the centre have a really strong relationship.”
Dawn McManus, Red Dreams co-founder, said: “The centre have supported us for some time now and it’s always great to be given the opportunity to raise awareness of our charity to lots of people.”
