A FAMILY is celebrating after their precious missing cat was found safe and well.
Louie, a distinctive Maine Coon cat, went missing from home in Owton Manor, Hartlepool around two weeks ago leaving his owner Wendy Harvey frantic.
But after 10 days he was found in a storage shed at Owton Manor Primary School by a group of girls.
The youngsters, who were on their way to a dance class, have been awarded a £250 reward put up by Wendy.
They have decided to contribute it to their dance school Affirmation.
Wendy, a teaching assistant and mum-of-two of Maxwell Road, Hartlepool, said: “People were fantastic in helping look for Louie and I’m really grateful to the girls for finding him.
“I think he had just found somewhere to shelter but he is fine.”
