ORGANISERS of the first ever Headland Christmas Spectacular have already confirmed the event will be returning next year.

Such was the success of the inaugural weekend-long fantastic festive extravaganza.

The Town Square, on the Headland, was a hive of activity over the weekend with stalls, displays, performances and activities for all the family.

Hundreds attended on both days and organisers, the Headland Carnival Committee, have expressed their delight at the response from residents both on the Headland, across the rest of Hartlepool and from out of town who all joined in with the fun.

And despite this year’s event only drawing to a close four days ago, the dedicated team who put the spectacular together have already revealed there will be more of the same in 2014.

Natalie Hogg, a member of the committee, said: “There is no way we can’t put on the event again in 2014 after this year’s success.

“It was absolutely fantastic. It wasn’t as we had hoped, it was even better.

“Everything just ran so smoothly, it was definitely worth all of the hard work that went into organising the event.”

This year’s Headland Carnival in the summer had barely finished when the committee revealed their plans
to organise a Christmas
event.

Natalie added: “We’ve had people coming up to us since saying we should organise even more events.

“We gave out feedback sheets so we could get a response of what people enjoyed the most and what we could do to improve the event if we organised it again and the response was just amazing, it was all so positive.

“On behalf of everyone in the committee I would like to say a big thanks to everyone who came along, everyone who set up stalls and
performed across the weekend.

“Everyone played a part in making it a fantastic weekend and make sure our first Christmas event was such a huge success.”
