BUSINESSES in a Hartlepool centre will be getting festive at a fair later this week.

The Hartlepool Enterprise Centre’s annual Christmas fair will include carol singing, tombolas and prize draws.

Two days of seasonal fun is planned from 10am to 4pm on Thursday and Friday.

Guests can enjoy a free mince pie with every drink bought. They can also browse round the stalls which feature goods from fine foods and cake stalls to ladies clothing and beauty therapies.

Centre manager Andrea Miles said: “This is something we look forward to holding every year. It is a great way for the town’s residents to come out and support Hartlepool’s Buy Local campaign, buying their Christmas gifts from local businesses instead of looking further afield.”

Students from Brougham School will be singing carols from 1pm and they will also be showing the results of their Christmas Card design competition.

Tombolas and prize draws with prizes including a £50 Marks & Spencer voucher, a 90-minute photo shoot and gift baskets donated by businesses.

All proceeds from the tombola and prize draws will go to the Mayor’s chosen charities which are Pansies Breast Cancer Support, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Denise Taylor Trust.
