Christmas fun is on the way in abundance at a Hartlepool group.
The Hartlepool Special Needs Support Group, whose manager and co-ordinator is Pat Allison, has announced plans for events which kick off this Thursday with a Christmas fair at the charity’s resource centre in Park Road from 10am to 12pm.
There will be stalls, a raffle, and tombola and entrance is 50 pence which includes refreshments.
On Sunday, December 6, the group’s performing arts arm called Constellations will be giving its Christmas Celebration, starting at 6pm at St Patricks Church.
It’s a chance to join Constellation and Friends in celebrating the most wonderful time of year with an evening of favourite songs and carols. There will also be a raffle and festive refreshments.
A mince pie afternoon starts at 1pm on Wednesday, December 9.
Pat said: “Our young people at the Get Together Club will serve you festive refreshments. Come and have a chill and relax with friends.”
The fun continues on Friday, December 11 with a Christmas jumper day while on Sunday, December 13, group members will be heading to the Stockeld Park Christmas Adventure featuring an enchanted forest, maze, ice skating, skiing and Santa.”
The group’s parents and carers Christmas lunch will be held on Friday, December 18 at the Greensides pub while the group’s Christmas party takes place on Monday, December 21.
It starts at 12pm at the Catholic Club, Marlowe Road, and includes a buffet lunch, disco and a potential visit from Santa.
Other events on the way include a family screening of Polar Express on Tuesday, December 22, from 1pm–4pm.
It will be held at the Town Hall Theatre, Hartlepool and tickets are £5 each.
A Golden Ticket to visit Santa’s Grotto is an additional £1, available at the resource centre or the Town Hall.
The last festive event for the group is the visit to the pantomime Cinderella on Tuesday, December 29, at Darlington Civic Theatre.
