MANAGERS are being urged not to miss a free event to help them tackle stress among their workforce.
The Stress Management Roadshow is being hosted by Hartlepool College of Further Education at the conference centre in its new £53m college campus development.
Steven Carter, Hartlepool Borough Council’s workplace health improvement specialist, said: “In the UK every year, more than 12.8m working days are lost due to stress or mental health-related illness, so it’s an issue which clearly no-one can afford to ignore.
“We are keen to see a good cross section of businesses and organisations of all sizes represented at this event, but people need to hurry as places are being taken up fast.”
It will be presented by Alan Bradshaw, a stress management expert who specialises in assessing and managing stress at work.
The roadshow is taking place in Hartlepool from 1.30pm to 4.30pm on Tuesday, October 11.
