A TEENAGER said he copied a film plot to break into his next door neighbour’s house.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, removed bricks in the loft separating their Hartlepool homes and then dropped down into the female neighbour’s bedroom.
Teesside Crown Court was told the woman later met him and another youth in the street when she was returning home in Hartlepool and they asked her if she wanted to buy a computer.
Police traced the second youth, who was 17, and he said they both went into the house, but the younger boy took the laptop.
The youngster was given a nine month youth rehabilitation order with supervision after he pleaded guilty to the burglary on March 30.
The case against the other teenager, who also admitted the burglary but was not in court, was adjourned for medical reports.
